I feel that this business card is a pretty good balance between design and practicality. With a harsh name like assassin, it’s necessary to have some pretty extreme graphics to have your graphics support the name. The problem with this is that it’s crucial to be able to read all of the information, and the more intricate the background gets the more difficult it is to make the text clear. There are two parts of this business card that I am absolutely thrilled about; the first is the text that the name is written in, mainly because I made all the letters with the custom shape tool and it’s nice to see your hard work pay off. I also like the bullet hole, which is subtle enough not to distract from the title, yet matches the theme so perfectly. I had to use a tutorial to make it, and I enjoyed learning something new in the process. As far as the diamond plated steel for the background goes, I thought it would add a tough element to the card, and nobody wants to buy clothing that is just going to fall apart. Really the only thing that I don’t like is that there is a lot of empty space between the title and bullet hole and the information at the bottom of the page. I honestly don’t know what I could put there that wouldn’t draw the reader’s eyes away from the essestial information, but nonetheless I feel that that space should be filled. All in all I think the business card serves its purpose very well considering the audience that most clothing companies cater to; fashionable teens. Teens need something catchy to capture their attention and a minimal amount of reading to keep them interested. If I actually do start a clothing company I will highly consider using this as a real business card.
